With the lengthy collaborative history that these two have, the news shouldn’t shock many, but in a recent interview with SPIN, Big Boi confirmed that he and Killer Mike have a joint EP in the works.

Big Boi says the project will likely come out after his follow up to 2012’s Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors is released. “We’ve been entertaining the idea for a long time and finally got enough songs to where we just said the other night that we’re gonna do it,” he says of his pending project with Killer Mike.

The joint EP is interesting, considering they’re in their own respective groups. Big being 1/2 of Outkast, and Killer Mike 1/2 of Run The Jewels with El-P. The two have appeared on multiple tracks together over the years, including Outkast’s Grammy winning single “The Whole World.” As for Big Boi’s next solo outing, he says it’s halfway done, adding it’s “some of my best work to date. I think it’s going to shock a lot of people.” Read the full interview here.
