Bo Vincent Jackson, is arguably the greatest athlete of all-time with his combination of strength, speed and quickness; Nike started a huge campaign behind him in the late 80’s and early 90’s called Bo Knows and gave him a signature sneaker line.

His shoe at the time might have been the only shoe to rival Air Jordan’s. MJ had basketball sneakers and apparel on a strong hold and Bo took care of everything else with his cross trainers. During Bo’s short tenure in the MLB and NFL before his career ending hip injury, he was talked about like a living legend. The feats he did where unheard of and never before seen, so you can imagine when he became a two sport athlete and excelled the legend just grew.

Now that I gave you guys a quick history lesson lets talk about the shoes. The Nike Air Trainer SC is getting the retro treatment with a new unreleased concept and color way. The SC Trainer sports a white leather upper with blue accents; a nod to the Kansas City Royals with whom Bo made his name in Baseball. A woodgrain finish on the leather mudguard continues the baseball theme, as do pixelated 16s on each heel, Bo’s baseball number. Finally, tying in the man’s video game dominance and one of his more famous real-life proclivities, each tongue is emblazoned with an 8-bit image of Bo breaking a bat over his knee, while the outsoles read “BROKEN” and “BATS.”

The Nike Air Trainer SC Broken Bats release date is scheduled for April 25, with retail set for $130.
