After paying his dues as Pharrell’s long time understudy, Buddy is stepping into the spotlight delivering his debut album this summer.  He quietly dropped two impressive EPs — Ocean & Montana with KAYTRANADA and Magnolia with Mike & Keyz — in 2017, is ready to step into the spotlight. He’s already warmed us up with the funky “Trouble on Central” and the A$AP Ferg-assisted “Black,” and today he treats us to this new track called “Hey Up There” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and OverDoz.’s Kent Jamz.

In the video Buddy gets more introspective, rather than being his happy go lucky self, showing more depth with his lyric content: (“I’ve been on my job too long / Damn right I know what I do wrong”). Buddy’s debut album Harlan & Alondra drops July 20 via RCA Records/Cool Lil Company.
