After finalizing a deal with FXX early last year, it was reported that Donald Glover, along with his brother Stephen, were to develop a Deadpool animated series for the network. This past week plans were scrapped, citing that the Atlanta star and writer was just “too busy.”

This morning though, in series of tweets, Glover silenced those claims when he uploaded what appears to be a mock script of his work on the now cancelled Deadpool animated series, which has Deadpool himself reflecting on the series’ cancellation.

“You know, I’m not mad about this whole ‘cancelled’ thing,” Deadpool says in the script. “I mean, is it even a good time to have a violent, gun loving white man ranting on TV? Other than the PRESIDENT?” The 15-page script, which Glover shared as a thread on his Twitter account, can be found below. It makes reference to the recent “Who bit Beyonce” saga upstarted by Tiffany Haddish this past week in GQ, Black Panther, Fortnite, and plenty of other current pop culture happenings.
