Drake is the Biggest Pop-Star in the world, according to Spotify
Drake is going for the title of the hardest working man in music, and today Spotify backed up that notion with their end of the year music streams list. Spotify returned with their annual Wrapped series, which breaks down music trends and artists who lead the way over the past 12 months. To no ones surprise, Drake topped the list as the most streamed artist globally. Adding insult to injury, with 8.2 billion streams in 2018 alone, Drizzy also becomes Spotify’s most-streamed artist of all time. Ariana Grande is crowned the most-streamed female artist this year, as her “thank u, next” smash-hit has been streamed more than 220 million streams alone.
Drake’s “God’s Plan” was the most-streamed record, and his Scorpion project was the most-streamed album. The late XXXTENTACION, Cardi B, Camila Cabello, Ed Sheeran, Post Malone and Juice WRLD also made this year’s lists.
