It’s been 28 years since Eddie has hit the stage in stand-up form, and we’ve all had our feelings on this. Last night the legendary comedian was the recipient of the Mark Twain Prize; a top honor for comedic legends.

During his acceptance speech, Eddie showed the crowd he still had it, with a brief riff on Bill Cosby that made him tap into his classic impression of the troubled TV dad. The ceremony is set to air on PBS in late November.

Those in attendance to honor Murphy included Tracy Morgan, Chris Rock, Arsenio Hall, Trevor Noah, JB Smoove, Dave Chappelle many more.
