Justin Timberlake releases his 5th solo album ‘Man of the Woods,’ just ahead of his Super Bow half time show performance on Sunday (2/4/18). With Hints of Americana and help from Country music star Chris Stapleton, JT enters the next phase of his musical career adding new elements to his sound. When we first got the roll out and saw promo clips for ‘Man of the Woods’ it looked like he was going for a country down home feel. Timberlake went on to explain MOTW was inspired by his son Silas, whose name means “man of the forest.” Still using his R&B influences grooves, but relying heavily on Blues and country instruments. Lead by the singles “Filthy” and “Supplies,” the 16-song project is lead by production from The Neptunes, Timbaland, Danja, J-Roc, Eric Hudson, and Rob Knox. The albums two lone guests are Alicia Keys (“Morning Light”) which is the albums stand out in my humble opinion and country singer Chris Stapleton (“Say Something”).
