Kanye West has finally broken his silence and taken to Twitter to address fans directly about his meeting with Donald Trump.

“I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues,” ‘Ye began. “These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago.” He went on to talk about the importance of having dialog and added that he feels “it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.”

He ended off his tweets by simply posting “#2024,” obviously alluding to  his infamous statement about running for the White House. West excited fans back in 2015 when he announced during his MTV Video Vanguard speech that he planned to run for president in the next election cycle. He later kept the idea alive by shouting out 2020 during shows including his performance at last year’s iHeart Radio Music Festival. But now that he’s saying 2024, does that mean he’s already supporting Trump for his second term in 2020?

Tuesday morning, Kanye showed up at the Trump Tower in New York City for a meeting with the President-Elect. Twitter and news outlets exploded as to what exactly are these two are talking about exactly. Trump requested to meet with Mr. West for a 15-minue meeting. As you can guess when the pair came downstairs, camera’s were flashing non-stop. Trump only disclosing that the pair had talked about “life.” Reports later surfaced that the two had met to discuss a potential “ambassador” type role.
