Mike Epps Versus Kevin Hart

In a radio interview on DeDe In The Morning, comedian Mike Epps was asked “Who’s the most overrated comedian?” With little hesitation he put Kevin Hart on blast. Epps believe that Kevin Hart’s fame is a result of great promotions and marketing rather than his talent, or Epps to believe his lack of talent. When Hart got a wind of this blatant diss, he went to his Instagram to set the record straight.

Hey @eppsie don’t wake up this monster pimp. If you want me to be honest, I’m showing you what you should

of did when you had your shot at success!!!! Oooooh Killlleeeemmmm…. You do clubs & small theaters…

I DO ARENA’S man. You do small movies….I DO MOTION PICTURES & SEQUELS!!! So go pick a fight with

#WhyHateWhenYouCanCongradulate

#ItsMoneyOutHereForEverybody

#IFYoUSaySometHingAboutMeImGoingToSaySomethingBack  #HeWokeUpAmonster”

When it comes to this beef, I think there is no competition. Time and relevancy has done more than enough to prove just who is the better comedian and entertainer out of these two.

Dolce & Gabbana Facing Jail Time

The major fashion power house is facing jail time. The designers are accused of failing to pay $277 million worth of income tax. They created several fake companies in Luxembourg to dodge hefty tax rates back home in Italy. Last June, they tried to avoid jail time with an appeal after a ruling of 20 months of imprisonment. Although the judge wasn’t having it, they did reduce their sentencing. “The court also upheld a fine of about $690,000 euros, and sentenced four other defendants — three Dolce & Gabbana managers, including Dolce’s brother Alfonso, and a tax consultant — to suspended prison terms ranging from 14 to 18 months. “I am speechless. I am flabbergasted. We will definitely appeal,” said Massimo Dinoia, a lawyer for the designers. In Italy, rulings can be challenged twice before they are final. The tax case against Dolce & Gabbana started in 2008. At the end of a civil lawsuit in 2013, the company’s founders were fined $475 million. But criminal proceedings remained open against them, leading to Wednesday’s convictions,’ reported Page Six.

Beyonce Officially Named Highest Earning Black Artist

Queen Bee has surpassed the elites of Michael Jackson and Janet, and has been named the highest-paid black artist of all time. According to Billboard magazine, “Queen B has overtaken previous earning records held by the likes of Michael Jackson, his sister Janet and Prince to take the title – and it’s all thanks to her Mrs Carter Show world tour. The publication claims that Bey took home a cool $212million from the year-long jaunt, with the tour eventually selling 1.8million tickets across 126 dates. The most recent European leg of the tour – which saw the star perform 25 dates from February to March – is thought to have earned her $41.1million alone.”  And it doesn’t look like she’s planning to slow down anytime soon. With announcement of  On The Run tour with her hubby Jay Z this summer, those paychecks will just keep on coming in.

George Clooney Finally Engaged

Looks like the notorious bachelor is ready to settle down. People were the first to exclusively report that “George Clooney was off the market and his fiancée, human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin, was congratulated by her law firm.

“The barristers and staff of Doughty Street Chambers offer their best wishes and congratulations to Ms. Amal Alamuddin, a member of Chambers, and Mr. George Clooney on their engagement to be married,” the firm said in a statement on Monday.

Alamuddin, 36, joined the firm in 2010 and later became a member of its international law team. The chief executive of the firm, Robin Jackson, added his personal congrats as well.

“She brings a bright light to everything she is involved in,” he said. “And I am so delighted at her happy news.”

Clooney’s mother, Nina, was reportedly excited over her son’s engagement as well. “‘You can say I’m extremely happy, Amal’s a lovely girl,'” she told the U.K.’s Daily Mail. “We weren’t at all surprised when they told us they were engaged, and we couldn’t be happier for them.”

While a rep for Clooney, 52, has yet to confirm the engagement, a source close to the situation says the actor and Alamuddin are just trying to keep things “very low-key.”

“I think it’s like they want the people they love to know that this is real,” the source says. “That they plan on being together forever.” Congrats Clooney, hope that it was worth the wait.

KimYe Vogue Cover Outsells Beyonce & Michelle

Sorry haters, but it seems that Anna Wintour was proven right when she said that Kim and Kanye are one of the most talked about couples. “The projections are that Kim and Kanye will likely sell almost 500,000 copies,” a magazine insider revealed. The April issue will far surpass that of the previous top-selling issues like Beyonce’s which sold 355,390 and Michelle Obama’s 293,798. Guess people can’t help but to love hating them.

Off That ‘Lean’

Actavis–the Promethazine Codeine producer that is frequently name dropped in rap songs–is pulling the plug on production and sales citing unlawful use as the reason. This cough syrup, aka sizzurp, aka Lean, has been heavily used and promoted in the Hip Hop industry. It also happened to be the cause behind Lil Wayne’s major seizure episode and taking the lives of heavy weights like Pimp C, Big Moe, and DJ Screw. There was only a matter of time till the company would be forced to make a major change. Though it made them quite a profit, it’s good to see that sometimes it’s not always about the money.
