Rihanna1

It’s official. Rihanna has become a certified fashion icon, at least she will be on June 2. On that night, the Council of Fashion Designers of America will be awarding Rihanna as the 2014 Fashion Icon of the Year award. “We are proud to present Rihanna with the CFDA Fashion Icon Award for her impact on the industry as fashion’s most exciting ambassador in recent memory”, stated CFDA CEO Steven Kolb on their official website. She may not be the ideal role model you’d want for your kids, but the girl definitely knows how to rock a dress. It’s like any designer she adorns herself with gets guaranteed world wide publicity. Take her most recent campaign as the new face of Balmain for instance, it has been considered one of their most memorable/news worthy campaigns. Not to mention her ultra risque outfit when wore to the show while sitting front row at the Paris Fashion Week F/W 2014. Not only was it complete see through, but she also decided to make one hell of a statement by skipping out on the bar. Do you think the CFDA was right to name her the 2014 Fashion Icon of the Year? Even better, what would RiRi wear to accept such award?

James Franco Caught Flirting with Minor

38-Profile

James Franco has been caught in quite the scandal, involving flirting throughout social media with a 17yr old fan. Franco has finally responded to the scandalous news about trying to get involved with his underaged Scottish fan on social media. Screen shots of the conversation were leaked online last week and showed that the 35yr old actor was trying to talk the fan into an intimate hotel meet up. Soon after the photos were leaked, which included a photo of him hold her name on a card, he took to his intsagram account to address it. It was later removed, but is still up on his Twitter account and simply says, “I’m Not! I hope parents should keep their teens away from me. Thank you.”  The fans was later revealed to be Scotish tourist, she met Franco outside his Broadway show. She posted a video of him and was later requested by Franco himself to tag her in it. From there the flitting only got worse, when he asked if she had a boyfriend. He only dug himself deeper when he began texting her and ashed “What’s the hotel?”, and “Should I rent a room?”

Franco finally decided to address the matter when he appeared on Live with Kelly and Michael, “I’m embarrassed,” Franco said on Live with Kelly and Michael. “I guess I’m just a model of how social media is tricky. It’s a way people meet each other today.” He added, “I used bad judgment and I learned my lesson.”

The movie star said he was “doubly” embarrassed by the media glare. “I have a very good life,” he said, “but not only do I have to go through the embarrassing rituals of meeting someone, sometimes if I do that, then it gets published for the world. So now it’s doubly embarrassing.”

As embarrassing as this is, many believe it’s just a publicity stunt to add attention to his upcoming movie about a student teacher relationship he has in the movie Palo Alto. I mean, is it really just a coincidence that this happens on the eve of the upcoming movie? Or is he really that thirsty?
