The news made it’s rounds on the web before finally being confirmed by Juicy J, who tweeted “RIP Lord Infamous..Thx you for your prayers , I’m very hurt, can’t believe it’s true”

The Voice Winner

This week The Voice Season 5 came to a magical conclusion. Tessanne Chin from Adam Levine’s team took home the win. It has been a long and tumultuous season for Tessanne. There were many times that her and Adam wouldn’t agree on songs. There were some cases that it got so heated that producers had to get involved. Although the singer never felt safe when it came to the nightly eliminations, America proved that she’d secured a place in their heart. Tessanne’s final song went up to number 3 on iTunes top 10 during the night of the season finally and all songs that she sang for the season can be found there as well. Good luck Tessanne, can’t wait to see what’s to come next year.

Beyoncé Surprise Walmart Shoppers

Who would have thought that the platinum selling/multimillionaire performer would stroll into a Walmart in Tewksbury, Mass one random Friday?  Shoppers were in for a treat when Beyoncé’s voice took over the intercom: “It’s Beyoncé. I stopped by the store today because my record just arrived. I want to send everyone a little gift. For everyone in the store right now, the first $50 of your holiday gifts are on me. Merry, merry Christmas from Beyoncé.” It’s estimated that she gifted shoppers with about $37,000 worth of gift cards. She even strolled around the store, did some shopping, and interacted with a few customers and employees along the way. Quite honestly, it wasn’t a coincidence that she went there to purchase her secretly dropped album now in stores, or the fact that she had a show in Boston that night for the Mrs. Carter World Tour. The surprise visit was great promotion for the new album. And with the CD now available in stores, you can expect to see it at Walmarts, Best Buys, and most brick and mortar music stores across the country, except for one major retailer. Target will not be selling Beyoncé’s album as they stated:

“We focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections. While there are many aspects that contribute to our approach and we have appreciated partnering with Beyoncé in the past, we are primarily focused on offering CDs that will be available in a physical format at the same time as all other formats.”

But looking at the numbers, who’s at loss here? Oh and speaking of,…

Target gets Hacked

Target had a massive security breach.  Shoppers who purchased items from any Target retail store between Black Friday to Dec 15 credit/debit card information could be at risk. Nearly 40 million accounts were compromised. To make matters worse, the credit card information that was stolen has now made its way to the global black market. With Target being the No. 2 major retailer in America, this is one of the biggest security breaches to date. The U.S. Secret Service is now leading the investigation into the massive security breach at Target and any victim of fraud due to the breach will not be penalized by their banks. Target is offering all shoppers a 10% discount this Saturday and Sunday as a way to apologize for the “inconvenience”.  Target has set up a hotline for anyone who has further questions about the incident and would like to know what actions should be taken next.
