Rae Sremmurd has landed their first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single with “Black Beatles,” taking the top spot from the longest reigning No. 1 song of the year, The Chainsmokers and Halsey’s “Closer.”

After it was official that “Black Beatles,” hit number one, Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee told Billboard in a interview: “You do what you want in this world, and people either love you or hate you for it. Thanks to everyone that stands behind us.” Slim Jxmmi added: “Unlock the swag, shoutout to the fans that supported “Black Beatles.”

The track is also the first No. 1 for its feature guest, Gucci Mane and their label boss/producer Mike WiLL Made-It. The track gained a lot attention thanks to the viral #MannequinChallenge videos, which has “Black Beatles” as the unofficial soundtrack, with real life Beatle member Paul McCartney even joining in on the fun.
