After it debuted in theaters nearly 30 years ago, Spike Lee turns his major film ‘She’s Gotta have it,’ into a Netflix series.

Lee burst onto the independent filmmaking scene back in the 80’s with his groundbreaking look at one free-spirited artist from Brooklyn who had a strong appetite for multiple men. Now, he brings his iconic characters Nola Darling and Mars Blackman back to life, to give his vision onto days day and age.

Set entirely in Fort Greene, the Netflix series was co-produced by Tonya Lewis Lee through 40 Acres and stars DeWanda Wise, Lyriq Bent, Cleo Anthony, Ilfenesh Hadera, Margot Bingham, and Anthony Ramos as Mars Blackmon, the iconic role originated by Lee.

Watch the show’s official trailer after the break and be sure to catch it’s network debut this Thanksgiving.
