DC Comics isn’t backing down from a little competition from Marvel. Need evidence? They’ve just upped the ante by revealing their all star roster for the Warner Bros. Pictures adventure Suicide Squad.

Hollywood new face Margot Robbie will take the role of Harley Quinn, Jared Leto as The Joker, and Tom Hardy as Rick Flagg. Perhaps the biggest surprise of them all will be Will Smith as Deadshot. It’s the first role we’ll get to see out of the Fresh Prince that casts him as a villain. Creative Development and Worldwide Production President Greg Silverman said in a statement:

“The Warner Bros. roots are deep on this one. David Ayer returns to the studio where he wrote ‘Training Day’ and brings his incredible ability to craft multidimensional villains to this iconic DC property with a cast of longtime Warner collaborators Will Smith and Tom Hardy, and other new and returning favorites: Margot, Jared, Jai and Cara. We look forward to seeing this terrific ensemble, under Ayer’s amazing guidance, give new meaning to what it means to be a villain and what it means to be a hero.”

Suicide Squad will begin shooting in Canada in February, and has a release date set for August 5, 2016.
