According to Screenrant the people at Fox are rebooting the whole franchise with Josh Trank (Chronicle) as the director.

The reboot is reportedly scheduled for a March 6, 2015 release with former Fantastic Four comic book writer Mark Millar signed on as a creative consultant for the film. Michael B. Jordan (The Wire, Friday Night Lights) is rumored to be a contender for the role of The Human Torch/Johnny Storm which is obviously proving to cause huge back lash from comic book Stans since the Johnny Storm character is white. Just like what Marvel did in the movie Thor with choosing Idris Elba for the role of Asgardian gatekeeper Heimdall, They are probably just attempting to give the film more race diversity.

The other cast members rumored to be attached are “The Spectacular Now’s” Miles Teller who has already confirmed that he has met with the folks behind the production about potentially taking the role of Reed Richards a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic. Other stars eyeing the role include Game of Thrones stars Kit Harrington and Richard Madden. As for the role of Susan Storm-Richards/The Invisible Woman, actresses going out for the part include Kate Mara and Saoirse Ronan. The character that remains a big question mark is Ben Grimm a.k.a. The Thing. That will be a huge deal even down to how he would look as the distorted being. Will the -actor be in a suit like in the 2005 version of the franchise or will they use the now popular CGI technology?

Fox and the Fantastic Four franchise will be facing an up hill battle in 2015 since the Avengers 2, Justice League, and Star Wars: Episode VII will be hitting theaters as well. The good news is the FF4 movie will be the first release of that year so hopefully it will wow fans enough so it won’t be an after thought once the summer block busters hit theaters. The FF4 reboot is set to begin production in March of this year. What do you guys thinks about the reboot, and the speculated cast members attached to the film?
