Jermaine Dupri is on a press run for his new tv show The Rap Game, which airs every Friday on Lifetime TV. The Grammy Award-winning producer, artist, and mogul stopped by HOT 97’s Ebro In The Morning for an insightful 50-minute conversation.

During the interview, Dupri spoke his tv’s shows, the current state of Atlanta’s hip-hop scene, New York and other cities adopting Atlanta’s sound and culture, everyone implementing trap into their music, his past with Janet Jackson, being an executive at Virgin Records, Rae Sremmurd comparisons to Kris Kross, Drake’s dominance in rap at a young age, and his relationship with Dame Dash, who appears on JD’s upcoming BET show Moguls (premiering Jun. 28) with Snoop Dogg and Birdman.
