It’s been well over a decade since the infamous Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton incident, and she’s managed to remain mum about it despite her name being dragged in mud by media outlets. Lewinsky, now 40, recently granted Vanity Fair an interview where she comes clean about her past saying “It’s time to stop tiptoeing around my past—and other people’s futures, I am determined to have a different ending to my story. I’ve decided, finally, to stick my head above the parapet so that I can take back my narrative and give a purpose to my past. (What this will cost me, I will soon find out.)”. Monica says still, in 2014, she’s being haunted by her past with potential jobs not finding her suitable because of her “history.”
The former intern often comes up in artists music almost two decades later (see Eminem’s “Rap God,”) with artists like Kid Cudi, Migos, and Raekwon all name dropping her as well. But it was Beyonce’s “Partition” lyric that she honed in on. “Oh he so horny, yeah he want to fuck,” sings Beyoncé. “He popped all my buttons, and he ripped my blouse/He Monica Lewinsky-ed all on my gown.”
“Thanks, Beyoncé,” said Lewinsky. “But if we’re verbing, I think you meant ‘Bill Clinton’d all on my gown,’ not ‘Monica Lewinsky’d.'” Glad we cleared that one up.
