The time is here. After serving nearly 7 years at the Bedford Hills Facility for Women, Remy Ma was released at 8am this morning. She was convicted of assault, illegal weapon possession, and attempted coercion in 2008, after a shooting at a nightclub in 2007.

In her interview with Angie Martinez last week, she spoke on her new music to come, and recognized Nicki Minaj for the music she’s been releasing.

“Nick has always been a supporter and vice versa,” Remy said. “I like what she does. She’s done wonderful things for females, but I just wish there was more of them”

Being away for 7 years and jumping back into the game could be a difficult thing to do. Before Remy was locked up, she was reaching her full potential. Do you think she’ll impact the game?

UPDATE: Revolt now reports that Remy’s release from prison has been delayed due to a “disciplinary problem.” With friends and supporters waiting outside for hours, an official at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility confirmed that the rapper would have to wait until the incident is responded. Today was highly promoted by Remy’s management, her husband Papoose, and many fans, as the day Remy would be released. Hopefully this is just a minor setback. More details to come.

UPDATE: MissInfo reports that Remy was released today at 3pm. She was reportedly picked up by her husband Papoose and only him, to avoid any complications.
